Emotion-Focused Communication Training
Posted almost 3 years ago by Sandra Fournier in Educational Opportunities
We want to share with you information about an interactive, self-paced, online educational program on emotion-focused communication. The training is geared toward anyone providing care to people living with dementia. This was developed and is being tested by researchers at Scripps Gerontology Center, Miami University. Currently, the course is available at no cost and those who complete the course will receive a certificate from Miami University that can be added to a resume or human resources documentation.
The team at Scripps is hoping to get as many direct care workers (facility or community-based) through the course as possible by April 1st. More information is pasted below and you are encouraged to email Dr. Katy Abbott if you have questions (abbottkm@miamioh.edu).
Thank you,
National Alzheimer’s and Dementia Resource Center
